A New House

Every once in a while we take a little drive around Hib-town just to "make sure" there isn't a house for sale that we've been missing. Maybe by some miracle God would tell someone to move out of their lovely house and put it up for sale at a price that we could afford. Well... We drive around (basically coveting other peoples' houses) saying "Oooh that one would be nice." or "Why doesn't that one go for sale?" or something similar. Anyways... in one of our drives of desperation, we saw the perfect house. It was beautiful...and perfect (and a little out of reality for us, but dreaming is ok. Right?). Only one problem (well maybe only one...): it wasn't for sale.

And then yesterday..... It came up for sale! Rob called me with excitement in his voice. When I asked him how much it costs, he hesitated to tell me... instead telling me, "We're gonna buy it!" Yeah right.... $315, 000. Has anybody won the lottery lately that has a couple hundred thousand we can have? You see, it's hard for us to win when we never buy tickets... And you also understand that we are homeless and are in desperate need for a home.

Oh well, I guess no new house for Christmas.

The search continues!

Oh man. What a bummer. Jamie- I can totally relate to that entire story though. We still haven't found a house in Springfield that works for our family AND in our price range.
Where is this house pictured? It looks so familiar.

Highland Drive, aka "Pill Hill." Yes, we're dreamers! But you know, "With God all things are possible." We're hanging on to that!

Oh Jamie! I have looked at that house on line in the last couple days! Its out of our price range too but I like to look at all the properties that way I have an idea about what is a good deal. And Im just dreaming too because more than winning the lottery has to happen before we can move home.
